COLD WEATHER PROTOCOLS
We're a tough lot on the prairies. But even we must occasionally
succumb to the nastier bits of winter. There are a handful of days each
winter that are simply too cold to safely train. The club's policy on cold
weather follows...
* On-snow training sessions are cancelled when the combination of
temperature and wind chill reaches minus 25 Celsius. Club members
will refer to Environment Canada's Roblin, Manitoba website http://weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/mb-32_metric_e.html
for the day’s forecast. Please make arrangements to call someone if you
have no access to the web.
* At temperatures approaching -25, training sessions may be shortened or
otherwise adapted to deal with extreme conditions.
* When outdoor sessions are cancelled, we will still meet for dryland
training and/or tuning sessions. These sessions will take place at either
the hill, the Inglis Public School or the Division’s new training
centre in Inglis.
* * Coaching fees will not be reimbursed in the event of weather
cancellations.
If your not sure about the day’s events, please call Nigel or Kirsti
