Asessippi is a very young ski area, just 10 years old but it has already exceeded all expectations. Asessippi was designed and build by a number of local businesses and individuals but was primary led by the Russell Inn & Conference Centre. The two companies work hand in hand offering guests outstanding hospitality and a wonderful winter experience. With 25 runs and 3 chair lifts Asessippi is Manitoba’s premier resort and welcomes an average 100,000 guests per season.
Asessippi is the largest ski area in the province and is a first class operation. Our terrain is in the Shell River Valley so the view here is beautiful and unique. The valley is full of wildlife, even in winter it is not unusual to see numerous deer across the river. We are part of a larger provincial park that includes Lake of the Prairies.
The Russell Inn is located just 15 minutes from the resort and staff do receive similar or combined staff benefits. At the inn, you will meet even more local staff as they employ approximately 110 great people year round.
