2. Can I stay in one of the cabin at Asessippi Cove?
The Asessippi Cottage Cove is a cottage development with privately owned cottage for sale only. If you are interested in a ski in / ski out cabin located on the slopes of Asessippi Ski Area & Resort please see Asessippi Cottage Cove.

3. Should I reserve my rentals?
The rental shop is well equipped with approximately 800 sets of shaped skis and 300 hundred set of snowboards & boots, however occasionally we have run out of specific sizes. So if you want to make sure your equipment is here, ready plus receive "front of the line" service you can pre book your rentals. Please note there is a $5.00 pre set fee for this service. You may also purchase your lift ticket when your reserve your equipment, so your lift ticket will be waiting for you with your equipment, avoiding any line ups at the ticket counter. To reserve your rentals online, go to Online Reservations. All reservations must be received 48 hours prior to arrival.

4. Can I cancel my rental reservations?
Yes, you may cancel your reservations with the following guidelines:
1. Before 9:00 am on the day BEFORE your arrival date - NO CHARGE
2. Before 9:00 am on the day of your arrival date - $5.00 setting fee (remember your equipment was set for you the day before you arrive).
3. After 9:00 am on the arrival date - NO REFUND. Your equipment has been set and moved to the reservations desk, after 9:00 am we have lost the opportunity to re rent the equipment you have reserved.
To cancel your equipment reservation please call the ticket office at 204-564-2000.

5. How old should a child be, before beginning skiing?
Every child is different and so there are no set guidelines. Lessons for children 6 and under are offered by the Asessippi Snow School but must be a private lesson. The instructor will want to have both hands and eyes free to look after your preschool one child at a time. They have many methods that will assist your child in learning how to ski. For snowboarding private lessons are required under the age of 8. The Asessippi Snow School recommends that preschoolers learn how to ski first before they learn to snowboard. For more information please call the Asessippi Snow School at 204-564-2000. You can also pre book your preschoolers private lesson with them.

6. What is easier to learn skiing or snowboarding?
There is no question for a first timer, never ever skiing is easier to learn. Balance on two boards is easier to master however snowboarding is also easy to learn. Both sports will be hard the first day you try but don't give up. It is statistically proven that most people learn to ski or snowboard will need about three visits until they are comfortable. That is why Asessippi created the Tri Discover Package discount.
You get 3 days of a full lift, lesson and rental package. The days can be used any time in the season. See the Tri Discover page for details.
